De C7X58 geeft het hoogste niveau van prestatie voor de meest veel-eisende multi-tasking, highly-threaded applications  zoals digital content creation, video editing en de nieuwste games.
Dit bord is alleen geschikt voor de tower workstation chassis uit de 733 serie.

De C7X58 ondersteund de Intel® Core™ i7 processor (Bloomfield) in een LGA 1366 socket. 
The Core i7 processor is gebaseerd op de 45 nm Nehalem microarchitecture and features an 8 MB Intel Smart Cache, an Integrated Memory Controller (IMC), and an Intel QuickPath Interconnect (QPI), which provides a high-speed connection to the Intel X58 Express (Tylersburg-DT) chipset.

The C7X58 features dual PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots to support nVidia® SLI™ and ATI® CrossFireX™ technology, for up to twice the performance with two add-in graphics cards. 
The C7X58 includes an SLI Bridge (AOC-SLI-B) that links two SLI-ready graphics cards together. 
For digital connectivity, the C7X58 provides support for two IEEE 1394a headers, and both S/PDIF and six analog output for High-Definition 8-channel audio.
